Sam has been busy at the Army Barrack Renovation replacing the old asbestos roof, and the new roof is almost finished. It's been a huge project and I've been unable to lend a hand as I've had pneumonia (luckily it's almost gone now).

Spring has arrived at last and the weather is glorious, although not so much when you're up on a roof. As soon as I'm feeling one hundred percent I'll be back to painting the interiors, we have a little way to go before it's all ready to welcome our first guests (hopefully later this year).

Buongiorno from Tuscany! Months ago I posted about some gorgeous artisan made tiles I was buying and I promised to show the finished article. My kitchen is still a work in progress and we will probably do stage 2 next year but in the meantime, we are really happy with the results. The local tiler did a beautiful job using 2 colours of grout so as not to disrupt the painted design. I think he did a great job!
